A correlation analysis test was performed in order to determine if the frequency of
attendance to religious services affected the general happiness of the individual. The significance
level between the two variables was P=0.944, which is statistically significant. However, when
running the correlation analysis to see if higher levels of attendance led to higher happiness
levels there was no negative or positive correlation. We cannot reject the null hypothesis because
there is no correlation between the two variables in this study.
The delivery method was successful and would be considered a strength in this study. An
online Google-Form was created and sent out to friends and family or the researcher in order to
be completed. The anonymity of this study was successful as all the surveys were completed
with no identifying factors. This was a strength because when surveys have the anonymous
factor then the participants are more than likely to be more truthful. The weakness of this survey
was that the participants could submit the survey without answering all the questions, leaving me
having to find others because those were not filled out entirely. Another complication with this
survey is that I only had 12 participants, I believe if I had more data that there would be more of
a correlation between the two factors. Also, most of the participants in this survey are family or
friends most of them being Christians. For further studies, it might be helpful to include non-
Christians, and people of all different religions in the sample.
