Synthesis
I have gained knowledge of several methods and approaches to research in the last seven
weeks, covering both primary and spiritual topics. Research is vital to our existence. When I
started researching, I had yet to learn how to approach a specific topic or discuss it from a
Christian perspective. Thanks to this class I am able to build a case study. A case study is implied
by the topics studied in these course weeks, which have improved knowledge and abilities
related to creating a research project, such as understanding the distinction between qualitative
and quantitative research methods that suggest a case study. Use the APA Publication Manual
fully and accurately. Some of the topics that helped me to during these 7 weeks.
Methods of Qualitative and Quantitative Research
When performing research, the researcher uses a variety of approaches. A researcher can
employ only two types of procedures: qualitative and quantitative. Considering their differences,
the two methods should always be taken alongside one another because they may assist in the
investigator's understanding of the similarities across the research's variables (Crawford, 2020).
In our book, the author defines6qualitative research6as a methodology that seeks knowledge and
creates new hypotheses by gathering much information (Crawford, 2016). We can collect and
analyze data utilizing this method to comprehend experiences. Pictures, films, and sound
recordings are among the formats for which this inquiry has been conducted (Mcleod, 2023).
Using quantitative research, we can gather and evaluate data to test concepts (Crawford, 2016).
"Quantitative research can be preferred and desired concerning qualitative research because it is
more objective, faster, focused and oily" (Mcleod, 2023). Thanks to this research, we can obtain
more accurate results by doing a more thorough investigation with more data.6

Case Study
It is an in-depth examination of an individual, team, location, occasion, establishment, or
phenomenon. Social sciences, education, medicine, and business research frequently use case
studies. Crawford (2018) gathers data using various techniques to give the case studies
comprehensive information. A case study requires the inclusion of items, hypotheses, a study
strategy, and an extensive data analysis. In conclusion, the case study can be completed when the
required data has been gathered. We can learn more about complex problems by performing case
studies, and once we have that knowledge, we can evaluate the subjects we looked at. Finally,
think of possible solutions for any irritation you may have had throughout the case study. One of
the most essential benefits of case studies, according to Crawford (2018), is their ability to
investigate unusual situations for which it would be unethical to conduct research. Researchers
utilize various materials for their case studies, including participant observation, direct
observations, documentation, archival data, and physical relics.
Benefits of Case Studies
Like all other research methodologies, case studies contain advantages and disadvantages
that support the methodology. One advantage of carrying out a case study is that it offers unique
chances to learn more in circumstances that aren't amenable to experimental research (Crawford,
2020, p. 78). Court cases may also make use of case studies. For instance, in a court proceeding,
the client's attorney might prepare a report on the client's mental health history to be presented to
the judge.

Case Studies Restrictions
The negative aspects of things always follow the positive ones. We have stated that every
case study has its limitations. It is possible that we may not always be able to pinpoint the precise
source of the peculiar and abnormal behavior in the instance under study, which is one of the
most evident limitations (Crawford, 2020, p. 79). That is the reason for the initial demand for
research on the study. Because of an odd accident, for example, the events may not have had the
same impact on everyone, bringing you to a standstill (APA Publication Manual, 2021, p. 26). In
such cases, the methodology typically requires the case study to be completed over an extended
period of time, which is another weakness.
Case Study with a Christian Perspective
The biblical view of research is that it is merely a gift from God. To strengthen our
relationship with Him, God desires that we look for explanations for the enigmatic wonders of
the world. "A house is established by understanding and built by wisdom" (Proverbs 24:3, NIV).
A 2009 survey by the organization Barna Studies discovered that only 4% of 2,033 adult study
participants in the United States had a biblical worldview when it came to making decisions. For
the study, a worldview is a conviction that there are unchangeable moral principles, that the
Bible is the source of that truth, and that one firmly adheres to six distinct religious perspectives.
The six perspectives were as follows: God created the universe and is currently in charge of it;
Jesus Christ led a blameless life; Salvation is a divine gift that cannot be merited. According to
Barna Studies (2009), there is such a thing as Satan; Christians have a duty to tell others about
Christ, and the Bible is true in all that it says. As the Bible states, "he who speaks truth gives
5
honesty, but a false witness speaks deceit," we are to convey truth in our knowledge; otherwise,
it is nothing more than falsehoods and deception (Proverbs 12:17, NIV).
APA Guidelines
The APA style aids writers in presenting their ideas succinctly and inclusively; it serves
as a foundation for efficient scholarly communication. Information regarding APA style as it is
presented in The Concise Guide to APA Style, Seventh Edition, and the Publication Manual of
the American Psychological Association, Seventh Edition, can be found on the style and
grammar guidelines pages. Among other things, this guidebook provides instructions on how to
credit sources correctly. These recommendations will help us do productive research.
The Process
I had to go over the topics we covered in these seven weeks of lectures again in order to
finish this thesis. I also had to go over and evaluate my assignments in order to come up with a
clearer idea. I fixed the most frequent mistakes in each project by reading over my teacher's
comments, then I placed them aside and completed my job.
