1. Describe (in your own words) what the textbook states about development being lifelong.
Then, reflect on how you have experienced this yourself or observed it in another person. Include
at least 5 complete sentences and cite appropriately any ideas you include from our textbook.
Humans change throughout their lifetime whether it be physically, cognitively, emotionally,
socially, or spiritually from the point of conception until their last breath on earth (Cashion et
al., 2019). In my own experience, I have personally developed in different areas throughout
my lifetime. I have developed physically by growing into an adult from a child. I have
developed emotionally through tough experiences I have been through, for example my
husband passed away back in 2020. And finally, I have developed spiritually by learning
more about our creator and understanding how we came to be through our Lord. Not
everyone develops the same nor does everyone develop in all aspects throughout their
lifetime as well.
2. How does our textbook describe spiritual development? Based on your personal experience
and observation, do you agree that all humans are spiritual beings? Why or why not? Include at
least 5 complete sentences and cite appropriately any ideas you include from our textbook.
Spiritual development is the part of us humans that seeks out what is sacred and helps us
connect to it (Cashion et al., 2019). In a way, I believe everyone is a spiritual being in some
form or fashion. From my personal observation everyone seeks out something to believe in
even if it is different from others. They also seek out a hierarchy that they can either blame
