You be the Professor
When it comes to studying and multitasking, people might think it is a waste of time,
especially if they do not understand the memory process behind it. Fortunately, if practiced, it is
actually a productive ability that is often utilized to save precious time. For maximum time
productivity and to meet any deadline, I recommend several strategies and implementing
precautions when multitasking.
Studying and multitasking have plenty of opportunities in regard to being prepared for
what is to come, whether it is a test, pop quiz, or even an essay. From my perspective, I begin my
brainstorming by reading my textbook thoroughly, which is more convenient for anyone. The
ability to work, on multiple assignments allows simultaneous work, by taking as many notes as
possible and guiding me in distinguishing the main elements of the work. Furthermore, this is not
only a great way to develop your strategy, but it is also a start to arrange what you want to apply
and what you learned. The motive for my choice of strategy is the cause and effect that impacts
me mentally in a positive way when I accomplish my schoolwork. My recommendation would
be a textbook statement from "Introduction to psychology" on memory processing. Encoding
supports the moving of information from the temporary state in short-term memory to a long-
lasting state in long-term memory and is called Rehearsal (George et al, 2020). In this process,
there are two main types of rehearsals that help get information into long-term memory. Which
in other words, would fall apart in the process of Maintenance Rehearsal. Therefore, when it is
decided to take notes every time something is re-read our textbooks on whatever subject we are
assigned to work on, this will help us maintain our rehearsal on repetition that will support our
minds to remember certain studying strategies.

In addition, multitasking is a skill that allows me to tap down on workloads and meet
critical deadlines throughout the cycle. However, there should be precautions in the organization
process, whether it has to do with school or life itself. A couple of things to keep in mind are
relationships, hobbies, and interests therefore, keen balance is a must. Multitasking is the attempt
of completing several tasks simultaneously. When you want to multitask, you must plan first on
what is more important and least important, so you can have an idea of what needs to get done
first. Once you’ve done that start your plan of action while doing that make sure to not distract
yourself with the thought of “I can do this and do this at the same time”, or overthink the time
you spend with one thing and possibly not have time for the other task you want to get done.
These racing questions may sometimes have the effect of ruining motivation to complete said
tasks. As stated in the textbook, (George et al, 2020) Attention, learning, and memory are
amazing capabilities that allow us to engage our world in ways other living things cannot and
this includes the ability to read, memorize anything we set our mind to do.
