In the beginning, God created the heavens, earth, and humans in his image. Humans have
been around since God created him in Genesis 1:27 (NIV Version), "So God created mankind in
his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them." Early
childhood is one of the most fascinating stages in human life. Early childhood spans 2 to 7 years
and is crucial for a child's cognitive growth and development. Their comprehension and
awareness of the world around them are rapidly expanding due to their curiosity and creativity.
The primary concern at this point is to encourage cognitive development through engaging and
stimulating activities.
During early childhood, the preoperational stage, ages 2 to 7, the child's cognitive growth
will grow stronger as it takes in the world around them. "Every activity and sensory stimulus a
baby or child experiences fosters brain development. Therefore moving, exploring, and
interacting with people is important during this time (George et al., R., 2021, pg. 103)." It is
crucial to foster the needs of the preoperational stage, giving them chances to interact with others
