Name and describe the three types of rocks found on the earth. Your answer
should be at least one paragraph in length.
Your Answer:
There are three types of rocks found on Earth: igneous, sedimentary, and
metamorphic. Igneous rocks that form deep underground or through a
volcanic eruption. Once these rocks cool, they crystalize. Another type of
rock is Sedimentary rocks. These rocks are made up of tiny pieces of rock or
sand and are formed in layers. The most visible example of these types of
rocks in America can be seen at the top portions of the Grand Canyon. The
last type of rock is metamorphic rock. These rocks start as one of the
previously mentioned rocks but are changed over time by extreme amounts
of heat and pressure which forms a completely new type of rock. These rocks
can sometimes be seen as crystalized and are usually found in deep in the
core of mountains or canyons.
