Abstract
This is a Case Study of a city. It is also a critique of how a city administration mismanage a small
cities budget within the realms of an already economical challenged community. Economically
challenged since the city had already experienced a profound loss of resources; through budget
expended and acquired new debt. Soon a new interim leadership was chosen and the previous
administrator was forced out by the public and in less than one year of being in place. The newly
intervening leadership is now faced with the task of dealing with the broken community as well
as the city’s shambled budget until a new leader is appointed to take control of the tasks.
However, this will not be for another two years. Moving forward many decisions have been
made thus far. In critiquing this case study an examination of those decision will determine
whether the choices made were beneficial to the community or not. While examining these
decisions made this critique (student) will also explore the reasoning for the decisions; as well as,
if other options would have been a better alternative/ recourse than the ones taken.
