ABSTRACT
Corruption in public administration is a massive issue that is felt all around the nation.
According to a report by Transparency International, of the 180 countries analyzed, the average
score for a nation on the Corruption Index was a 43. 100 being the least corrupt and 0 being the
most, the average country was more corrupt than not according to their report. This essay will
examine the history behind corruption, how has permeated the governments it of the world, how
it perpetuates a cycle of more corruption, and how to break that cycle.
