In my life, my personal religious background, including my experience and
growth, has played a major role to influence my views on the integration of
scientific knowledge and sacred knowledge. Personally, I am not an avid
believer in integration as I do not accept any knowledge that affects my
intimacy with God. I sincerely believe in the truth of God and Jesus Christ. He
is the ultimate creator of mankind and everything that has ever existed. In case
I come across any kind of knowledge that is not aligned with the message of
the Bible, I completely reject it. God is the one who has given us everything,
including our life, our family, and everything that we have. The gifts and callings
of the Almighty are irrevocable in nature. One gift that the world has received
from the Almighty is the gift of wisdom and knowledge. Many individuals, such
as scientists and intellectuals, have this gift. The knowledge that God has given
to mankind can be used for the purpose of glorifying Him. According to
Proverbs 14:12 (NKJV), “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end
is the way of death[1].” c Entwistle has stated that ‘Christian is much more than
theology; it is an encounter with Christ that redeems and reorients human
lives[2].’ c I believe that if a Christian person has not had a genuine encounter
with Jesus Christ, it is necessary for him to seek one in the future. Mere moral
knowledge might not suffice for a Christian and help him to understand the true
meaning of the sacred knowledge of Christ.
When it comes to my belief and background relating to Bible, I consider it to be
the ultimate truth that a Pastor or Elders talk about. The Pastor or Elders play
an integral role in presenting the knowledge that has been captured in the Bible
and disseminates it among Christians. As I have grown up in a Baptist Church,
we did not get the chance to share an intimate bond with the Almighty. It
depended on every single individual to pursue God in his own way. After I grew
up, I got the opportunity to expand my intellectual knowledge, and I was able to
seek God at a personal level. Right now, I share a very close and personal
relationship with God. He plays an integral part in my life and influences all my
actions and decisions. c
