One of the week six assignment article conclusions is that nurses working in government
hospitals in Medina have an average level of preparedness for disaster events. According to the
article, the findings showed there is room to improve the existing preparedness of the nurses for
disaster management (Baker, 2021). Providing an advanced level of education, training, and
professional experience will help increase the nurse's readiness from average to high. I would use
the evidence to improve nursing practice by increasing knowledge on disaster management. I
would do this by improving the existing education and training standards for more effective
results for disaster management.
There are different ways of disseminating research-based evidence (Houser, 2018). I
would disseminate the evidence through social media, brochures, journals, presentations,
conferences, and nurse team meetings. Sharing the evidence through these channels will spread
the knowledge and the associated evidence-based interventions. It would be essential for me to
be involved in communicating and applying nursing techniques because it will help me advance
in my field. It will also keep me updated and offer better patient care. In addition, it will help me
make well-founded decisions and enable me to evaluate research so that I can understand the
risks and effectiveness of diagnostic tests and treatment.
