Introduction
John, the son of Zebedee is regarded to be one of the most crucial characters of
Bible who has been a disciple of Jesus Christ. His character has been explored in the
biographical study to get an insight into his life and contribution to Christianity. His role
has been extremely critical to advice and counsel people to have faith in Jesus – ‘The son
of God’

. The well-respected character has played a vital role in the Church at Jerusalem.
As per tradition, John is considered to be the disciple whom Jesus loved. He was a crucial
character who stood at the foot of the Cross along with Mother Mary. He even got to
witness the empty tomb as well as the presence of the ‘Risen One’

.
Research methodology
In order to get a holistic insight into the character of John, a wide range of evidence
has been used. The objective is to conduct a good research that will reveal details about
John. The research methodology has been designed with the intention to capture the life
lessons from the Bible’s portrayal of John’s character so that it can be applied to
Christians in the current times.
Biblical research
The biblical research process would act as the foundation that would help to get an
idea about John, one of the many disciples of Jesus Christ. In the study, the Word of God
would speak for itself and show how John played a role to shape Christianity. While
conducting a thorough research study, the available information in available information in
the Gospels and other sources would be used. This research process would help to capture

the unique traits of John and get an idea about his life and his beliefs

. His leading role in
the concept of the Church could be understood in a better way by conducting the biblical
research process.
Findings
The findings of the research would be not be manipulated in any manner. But it
would be the representation of the Word of God. Such a transparent research process
would make sure that the actual aspects of John as an individual could be captured here

The importance of the member of the Bible would be highlighted in the research so
that his contribution to Christianity could be appreciated. Similarly, his life lessons would
also be captured by using authentic sources of evidence

. It would help to understand how
his beliefs could be applied in Christianity of the 21st century.
Conclusion
John is a vital character of Bible that has made a contribution to Christianity in his
own way. The research would highlight the Word of God to highlight the role that he has
played to strengthen the beliefs of Christianity. The church traditions have been used to
understand how John lived and evolved to be a sincere disciple of Jesus Christ. The
intention of the exploration of John’s character is to determine how his beliefs are
applicable in the present times in the world of Christianity.
