I am currently studying two different fields they are education and religion. The
government have separated the two, but I believe they still belong together. Religion teaches
patience and values that are so important when teaching young minds. It helps myself to truly see
if I love what I am doing or if I simply am doing it just to doing it. Education is a career path that
a person must truly love in order to do it without that simple value I would never enjoy my job
and the students in my class would suffer.
Religion has always been a field that has very dear to my heart and with that I have
always wanted to know as much information about it as I could. When I was a teenager I
dreamed of working at my church. So I wanted to know as much as I could about the bible and
the interworking’s of church. I then began teaching on Sunday morning and absolutely loved it.
I had a passion for young minds and forming them. So I questioned what how I can make these
two things fit together.
I than started working at a daycare where I am a two-year-old teacher. I had to get gain
some more knowledge on what to do as a teacher. I also knew I wanted to teach in public school
one day. So I started learning all these new things about how to manage a classroom, and the
best way to current a child. I started learning about how a classroom arrangement can affect
behavior in the classroom setting. The classes I begin taking alongside my religion classes I was
able to start implementing in my own classroom. Although I find myself needing the religion
classes just as much as the education. The children I work with require a lot of patience and
positive attitude I know when I graduate I will have achieved these two things through the skills
I have picked up in my religion classes.
I find that these two fields work together so well because working with students today
requires a lot of prayer and willingness to go the extra mile. Also it takes someone who has a

heart for doing what is right for the children who sit in your classroom. I know one day a
student will ask me who Jesus is to me and because of the field of study I have choose I will be
able to give an account to that child and change their life. Even in my classroom today I find
myself trying to explain the unknown to faithful minds who want to know more about the
knowledge I have. I believe working with people requires you to have a lot of faith in humanity
that remembering Jesus came to save them too and we must share the change Jesus has down in
our life.
The career I intend to choose is to be a teacher in a public school many will believe that
choosing religion as my second field of study will have no benefit to the career path I have
chosen. But in choosing religion I will be able to manage all of the background word that it takes
in being a teacher. I will be able to manage the stress of the job and students. I also will be able
to pray for the students in my class and change the negative attitudes that so often occur. I will
be able to share my faith and knowledge with people who want to hear and ask about. Choosing
these fields of study has taught me many things that I cannot wait to incorporate into my
classroom. In studying religion, I was given the opportunity to study the ways of the greatest
teacher that ever walked the earth. I will be able to incorporate the way Jesus taught his people
into the lessons I will teach my students. I will be able to show love to my students without
bonds and also be able to give them a place that is judgement free. I am so excited to be a teacher
and shape the young minds of tomorrow as well as share the love of Christ.
