Prophecy: that special ability to see the influence of evil as did the Old Testament prophets and
warn God’s people of its damage. The prophet has a deep passion to defend God’s reputation,
stand for issues and use negative motivation, i.e., “Thus saith the Lord…” (1 Cor. 12:10, 28;
Eph. 4:11, 11-14; Rom. 12:6).
Helps/Service: that special ability to do service-oriented work for God in necessary tasks that
may seem routine and mundane. The helper usually enjoys serving without public attention,
doing such tasks as preparing a meeting room or working on a church building (1 Cor. 12:28;
Rom. 12:7, 16:1, 2 NKJV; 1 Pet. 4:10, 11).
Teaching: that special ability and desire to study God’s Word and share with others what is
learned. The teacher enjoys communicating information to individuals or groups (Eph. 4:11-14; 1
Cor. 12:28; Rom. 12:7).
Exhortation: that special ability to find and communicate to others practical ways of serving
God. The exhorter is a positive motivator, knowing practical Christianity will change the lives of
others (Rom.12:8, 1 Tim. 4:13; Heb. 10:25).
Giving: that special ability to contribute material resources to God’s work. The giver has a great
desire to share time, talent, and treasures with liberality and self-sacrificing cheerfulness (Rom.
12:8, 2 Cor. 8:1-7, 9:12).
Administration: that special ability to manage human, financial, and physical resources in an
efficient manner. The administration functions by planning, organizing, leading, and supervising
(Rom. 12:8; 1; Cor. 12:28; Titus 1:5).
Showing Mercy: That special ability to identify with those in distress and sympathetically give
spiritual comfort and support. The mercy shower ministers through identifying with those in
distress and comes along side to comfort them (Rom. 12:8; Matt. 9:36).
Evangelism: that special ability to lead unsaved people to knowledge of Christ. The evangelist
has a passion for souls, a clear understanding of the Gospel, and a tendency to be confrontational
in approaching people because of the urgency of the task (Eph. 4:11-14; 2 Tim. 4:5; Acts 21:8;
Acts *;5,6).
Shepherding: that special ability to lead a group of believers. The shepherd (group leader) has a
desire to help the group determine its spiritual goal(s), provide direction as they move toward the
goal, and protect the group members from harmful influences (Eph. 4:11-14; 1 pet. 5:1,3).
According to the Town’s Spiritual Gifts questionnaire my first spiritual gift is prophecy
ranking at 90%. This gift gives me the ability to see the influences of evil among us. I believe
this gift is accurate, as I constantly find myself warning others about scriptural prophecies. I love
reading scripture and attaining God’s truth and wisdom and being able to share it with others.
There are times I feel that our Lord speaks to me through my dreams just as He did with the old
prophets. Some of my dreams seem so real, however, I know they’re just dreams of which may
express some reality. I can definitely say I don’t know many people with such a gift.
According to the Town’s Spiritual Gifts questionnaire my second spiritual gift is
helps/service ranking at 92%. This gift is the special ability to help and serve for God in any and
all tasks. I believe this spiritual gift to be accurate as I truly enjoy helping others and serving my
Heavenly Father. I find ways to serve within my church ministries and volunteering within my
community. In anything thing I do, whether it’s helping a child, a neighbor, a fellow brother or
sister in Christ or a family member, I do so without seeking anything in return. I not only do it
because I love to, but to please and serve my Father.
According to the Town’s Spiritual Gifts questionnaire my third spiritual gift is teaching
ranking at 55%. This gift is the special ability to study God’s word and sharing it with others. I
believe this gift to be accurate as I do enjoy reading, studying and sharing scripture. I don’t
consider myself a teacher, nor do I feel completely comfortable when I do share the gospel.
However, I do know it is required of me, so I do so when I can. I find it much easier to teach
children and teens, although I do not do it as often unless given an opportunity.
According to the Town’s Spiritual Gift questionnaire my fourth spiritual gift is
exhortation ranking at 67%. This gift is the special ability of finding ways to find and
communicate with others in a practical way of serving God. This gift allows me to motivate
positively in a practical manner in order to change the lives of others. I believe this gift to be
accurate as I find myself constantly seeking different ways to change lives. Whether it’s getting
others involved in church ministries or feed the homeless within the community, I find ways to
get others to serve God in a manner which they can.
According to the Town’s Spiritual Gift questionnaire my fifth spiritual gift is giving
ranking at 72%. This gift is the special ability of contributing material resources for God’s work.
I believe this gift to be accurate, as I truly enjoy giving in any way to please my Heavenly Father.
I give as much of my time serving and sharing my many blessings. Although I may not be rich
with money, I am rich in many other ways and share/give in a manner in which is pleasing to
God. I would say I am definitely a cheerful giver, as I truly enjoy giving to others less fortunate
than me.
According to the Town’s Spiritual Gift questionnaire my sixth spiritual gift is
administration ranking at 62%. This gift is the special ability to manage human, financial and
physical resources in an efficient manner. This gift would somewhat be accurate, as I do enjoy
planning and organizing, however not too fond of leading and supervising. Although I enjoy the
duties and tasks of administration, I do not find it to be one of my best strengths. However, being
able to manage, plan and organize are definitely strengths I see on a regular basis.
According to the Town’s Spiritual Gift questionnaire my seventh gift is mercy shower
ranking at 77%. This gift is the special ability to identify with individuals in distress and being
able to sympathetically give comfort and support. I believe this gift to be accurate, as I find
myself constantly identifying with others distress. I generally provide spiritual comfort and
support to my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ during times of crisis. When I see others
hurting and/or suffering I sympathize with their situation and assist in any manner I can.
According to the Town’s Spiritual questionnaire my eighth gift is evangelism ranking at
80%. This gift is the special ability to lead unsaved individuals to the knowledge of Christ. I
believe this gift to be accurate, as I truly have passion of telling others about Jesus. I make it my
daily mission to share the Gospel and Christ in whichever way I can. Whether it’s posting
scripture or devotional, I am sharing Christ. I definitely have a passion for saving souls and
bringing the lost to Christ. I can’t say that I’m comfortable with doing so verbally within a large
audience, but I don’t mind doing so in a smaller setting.
According to the Town’s Spiritual Gift questionnaire my ninth gift is shepherding ranking
at 60%. This gift is the ability to lead a group of believers. I find this gift to be partially accurate,
as I find myself shepherding those within my household. I do not feel comfortable leading,
however I understand our Lord has told us to do so. He’s instructed us (woman) to minister,
teach and lead our children. I wouldn’t consider myself a shepherd/group leader, but a believer of
Christ of which I will share the Gospel of Jesus with others and direct fellow believers on the
right path when I see them veering off their righteous path. I am constantly do so with my family.
