Your Top 8 Values Your Definition of Each Value
1. Detail-Oriented It is important to me to be detail-oriented in a job. I
find it crucial to pay attention to details because it is
the little things that add up to the bigger things. If there
are small things that are constantly overlooked it can
drastically affect the outcome of the overall project.
2. Initiative Initiative is a vital part of being a good employee in my
opinion. It is important to be able to take initiative and
start things without always having to be told to do so.
It makes other people’s workloads easier when other
are willing and able to take the initiative to get things
done on their own.
3. Structure/routine Structure and routine are important to me because it is
easier to get tasks done when there is familiarity of
how the day goes. Having structure in the workplace
helps to bestow expectations on employees as well. It
can be useful for the entire chain of an organization
when there is structure in place for the employees at all
stages.
4. Variety Variety is something that matters to me in my career
because it helps to break up the monotony of a job.
While I find it important to have routine, it can also be
beneficial for one to have variety to keep them
interested in their work. When employees are
consistently interested and engaged in their work their
production is much higher and satisfactory for not only
their employers but also in themselves.

5. Teamwork I find it extremely useful to have teamwork as a part of
everyday in the workplace. It is good to be able to
count on your fellow coworkers as well as being
willing to contribute to the company and its values.
When everybody is willing to put in teamwork it can
exponentially raise the productivity of the company
because it builds efficiency which allows for higher
output from everyone.
6. Respect Something that is high on the priority list in the
workplace is respect. If there is no respect between
coworkers, it can affect not only the workplace moral
but also the productivity of the individuals who work
there. If people are not willing to work together it can
decrease workplace efficiency because some
employees may not be willing to work with another
due to lack of respect and it can affect the time it may
take for tasks to be completed.
7. Serving God Serving God is also a priority in the workplace for me
personally. When I make my faith a part of my work it
helps me to remember other important things in the
workplace like respect and teamwork. It is through
serving God and my faith that I am able to accomplish
things in my life and I owe my career to that as well.

8. Balance Balance is a crucial part of the workplace. When there
is not enough balance or no balance at all it can lead to
employee burnout and things can go downhill very
quickly from there. When there is an imbalance in the
workplace employees can become disgruntled and
begin to make mistakes in their work.
