Juuling Assignment
The use of juuling and vaping consist of using electronic gadgets to inhale nicotine and or
marijuana. Versus burning tobacco or dried herbs, it’s created to heat liquid for the purpose of
inhaling it which will allow the individual to receive a stronger buzz or to feel the effects of
getting high quicker.
It’s popular among younger people and more appealing to them because of the gadgets
and assorted flavors of vaping oils that are being provided. Vaping and juuling is very addictive
and while adolescents see it as a way of having fun, fitting in, and meeting new friends, they are
unaware of the danger they are subjecting themselves to as well as those around that are inhaling
secondhand smoke. In addition to its being addictive, it also has dangerous effects on the brain,
lungs, and respiratory system (Turner, 2020). It may also be associated with the rise in anxiety,
stress, and depression in youths.
Adolescents are not only juuling nicotine, but they are also vaping marijuana. Because of
the desired high individuals receive they prefer vaping cannabis over smoking it dried.
Adolescents’ brains are still in a developing stage and the use of vaping and juuling can have
detrimental consequences by interfering with memory and learning. Vaping oils are more
dangerous because the oils contain 3 to 5 times more THC than dried weed (CNN, 2021).
God made humans in His image and expects us to be good stewards over our bodies. We
are to treat our bodies as His temples and the bible encourages us to not fill it with something
that distorts our minds and causes us to lose control (1 Corinthians 3:16-17). Not only does the
Lord expect us to have control over our minds and bodies, but He also wants us to live happy

healthy lives. Vaping and juuling causes sever harm internally while affecting the brain and
internal organs which can and has led to death.
The CDC has placed in affect some measures in an attempt to reduce the usage of and or
prevent youth from smoking, juuling and vaping. On way would be in making tobacco products
less affordable and raising the prices as well as raising the age minimum and making it harder for
youth to purchase tobacco products. Also, different environments and facilities have also
implemented new rules that prohibit the use of tobacco products inside buildings as well as
anywhere on the premises (CDC, 2022). Also, the government has enforced strict penalties for
retailers holding them accountable for selling to those who are underage. For some retailers who
continue selling to the underage, they may face being barred from selling products to anyone for
a time. Advertising has a huge role in making the use of tobacco products appealing to the youth.
The government is giving warnings to companies that mislead and manipulate kids by using kid-
friendly labels during their advertisement of tobacco products (Center for Tobacco Products,
2019).
Education and making the youth aware of the dangers of juuling, vaping and smoking
gives them the opportunity to make better decisions regarding their quality of life.
