Directions: Choose 3 days and keep track of everything you eat, making sure to note the size of
your portions. Although I know that you may use other nutrition and exercise tracking programs,
please use this one for this assignment.
1) Use the link to access Cronometer. https://cronometer.com
2) Create a profile. (Use the free profile option). You can track using their app after you
have signed up. Do not pay to print any of the charts using the “print report” option on
the website. It is up to you if you want to add your biometric information. Please follow
the instructions below.
3) You will complete these steps for each day.
a. Select the tab “Diary”.
b. Use the tabs “Add Food” and “Add Exercise” to enter the foods that you ate for
that day into the program and select portion size and any exercise that you did. If
the exact foods are not listed, please select something close.
c. At the end of EACH day you will need to screenshot and save it or save it as a
pdf. To save the screen as a pdf, select to “print” the page, but instead of selecting
a “printer” to send it to, select “adobe pdf” and it will allow you to save it to your
computer.
d. Repeat the above steps for the next 2 days.
4) You will submit all 3 of the daily reports. (a total of 3 attachments of nutritional reports).
5) Additionally answer the reflection questions on the next page to submit as a 4
th
attachment for this assignment. Remember you are looking at nutrients, not food groups.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS
Day 1
1. Was your caloric intake above or below the 2000 calorie mark for the day?
My calorie mark for day 1 was below 2000
2. Do you feel that you ate enough calories for this day? Why or why not?
Yes, I felt I ate enough for the day. I had a total of three meals on Day 1 and
exercise. I found that I ate enough food to work out and be efficient in my work.
3. When you look at what you ate and your amount of exercise, what does your calorie
consumed to calorie burned summary tell you?
It said that ci consumed a total of 1421 calories and burned a total of 1796
calories. So, my calorie range is deficit by 375.
4. What nutrients, if any, were you under the recommended amount for your recommended
calorie diet?
I most likely need more fiber, vitamin C, iron, and calcium.
5. What nutrients, if any, were you over the recommended amount for your recommended
calorie diet?
I was over the recommendation in vitamin A.
Day 2
6. Was your caloric intake above or below the 2000 calorie mark for the day?
My caloric intake was below 2000 for day 2.
7. Do you feel that you ate enough calories for this day? Why or why not?
For how much I worked out on Day 2 I do not think I ate enough calories for the
Day to be efficient.
8. When you look at what you ate and your amount of exercise, what does your calorie
consumed to calorie burned summary tell you?
It tell me I ate 946 calories, burned 1683 calories. So I was calorie deficit by 737.
9. What nutrients, if any, were you under the recommended amount for your recommended
calorie diet?
Vitamin C, calcium, Vitamin B12, and fiber
10. What nutrients, if any, were you over the recommended amount for your recommended
calorie diet?
Vitamin A, I was over the recommendation
Day 3
11. Was your caloric intake above or below the 2000 calorie mark for the day?
My caloric intake was below 2000 on day 3.
12. Do you feel that you ate enough calories for this day? Why or why not?
At the day I felt like I ate enough calories and food for the day, as I was
completely full and did not work out.
13. When you look at what you ate and your amount of exercise, what does your calorie
consumed to calorie burned summary tell you?
I consumed 694 calories and burned 1531 calories. This leaves me at 837 calorie
deficit.
14. What nutrients, if any, were you under the recommended amount for your recommended
calorie diet?
Calcium, vitamin B12, iron, and potassium
15. What nutrients, if any, were you over the recommended amount for your recommended
calorie diet?
Vitamin A I was over the recommendation amount
16. Do you take a daily multi-vitamin?
Yes, I take a multivitamin every day. I did not include it in the cronometer
17. After day 1, did you make any adjustments to your eating the next day? If yes, what did
you change?
No, I did not make any diet changes after day 1, I continue to eat like I usually do
daily/
18. Looking at what you ate these 3 day, are there any changes that you need to make in how
you eat?
I would most likely try to eat a little more on the days I work out so I am not so
high in my calorie deficit.
19. What are your nutritional goals for this semester?
For this semester, my goal was to eat enough to be efficient to work out daily and do my
work and be productive.
