For decades The United States of America has maintained military superiority and has
been considered the greatest military in the world. The United States of America has been
recognized as one of the greatest world powers if not the greatest, close behind is Russia and
China. The greatest military threat to the United States of America would have to be China.
Chinas recent advancements in their military power has shifted the geopolitical landscape. China
has many benefits to its military that makes it a considerable threat such as its military
advancements and capabilities and its strategic ambitions. In this essay we will evaluate why
China is the biggest threat military wise to the United States, and how the US military
intelligence can support the effort to neutralize China.
In the 21st century China's rise to military power has been very significant, when it
comes to challenging The United States foreign military superiority China is the most notable
country in the mix. Chinas rapid military modernization must be one of the biggest concerns. In
the last 20 years China's technology has advance tremendously across all aspects of their armed
forces. The most concerning must be China's naval advancements and its advancements with
missiles. China has also put an emphasis and its modernization of its nuclear arsenal, stealth
aircrafts, and its cyber warfare technology and tactics. All these different aspects of Chinas
modernization of its military showcase its abilities to rival with the United States. China has also
raised some concerns with allies in the indo Pacific region, China's presence in the South China
Sea has been increasing. They have constructed multiple different facilities in the region This can
influence region stability and can encroach on The US interests in the supporting regions. When
it comes to China's nuclear power, they are advancing both the amount of nuclear warheads day
have and the quality of those nuclear weapons. intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) are
ballistic missiles that are used for long range targeting and generally are associated with
delivering nuclear warheads. Chinas advancement in cyber technology has also increased their
abilities to target adversaries with digital technology. Because we live in such a modern era
where technology is rapidly advancing having the ability to be a major cyber threat gives
countries the advantage over their opponents, considering that China's technology is some of the
most advanced in the world their cyber-attack potential has raised some concerns. These are just
few of the reasons why China's military has advanced drastically and why they pose the greatest
threat to the United States military wise.
How should military intelligence support the effort to neutralize the threat? Being aware
of the capabilities that China has and the threat that its military poses is the first aspect to being
able to stop them as a threat. Monitoring Chinas military being able to determine how they are
modernizing their military can be an effective way to stay on top of the threat that they pose.
Identifying major advancements early on get also give the US an advantage to reducing Chinas
ability to advance faster than the United States can, keeping a close eye on China's military drills
and deployment strategies are some examples of this. Countering China cyber threats is also
important because China has advanced the ability to launch cyber-attacks being able to stay on
top of these cyber-attacks in mitigating their effectiveness is very important because cyber-
attacks can result in major infrastructure failure. Counterintelligence can contribute to the United
States success in gaining the upper hand on China, protecting classified information and
neutralizing Chinese assets are effective ways to use counterintelligence. Sharing intelligence
with allies can also be beneficial because it gives us a wider perspective on what we might be
dealing with when it comes to China and by comparing with our allies this can result in new
ideas on how to deal with Chinas efforts against our country. Having effective response strategies
is also very important, by working with departments such as the Department of Defense we can
put together plans to quickly respond to Chinese activity and to shut down any threats that China
pose to the United States of America.

in helping Counter the China's efforts to become one of the greatest threats to the United States.
Because China's modernization of its military has increased so rapidly being able to evaluate the
current situation in China and how advance its military is and develop strategies to help
counteract these advancements are extremely important to the US success. Collecting
intelligence data and having a thorough analysis of Chinas military always is extremely
important but with the right tools and the right men and women working around the clock to
protect our country it is a very achievable goal.
