The Creation
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.”1 Creation takes place and God
rests on the seventh day. God first creates Adam and from Adam, made Eve. Adam and Eve were
given the garden of Eden to live for God and multiply. The only thing God asked of Adam and
Eve was to not eat from the forbidden fruit. Everything else was given to Adam and Eve to eat
and live.
The fall
The serpent which the bible describes as crafty, spoke to Eve and convinced her to take a
bite of the forbidden fruit. This was the first sin that led to the fall of man. Adam would also eat
the forbidden fruit. After eating the fruit, their eyes were opened to sin. They realized they were
naked and hid from God. God Asked Eve what she had done, and she had told God of the
deceiving serpent that talked her into eating the forbidden fruit. God replies saying, “Cursed are
you above all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly, and you will eat dust all the days of
your life2.” Sin had corrupted man and were kicked out of the Garden of Eden. Man was
separated from God and every man born would be born in sin.
God’s Promise
Abraham a descendant of Adam was promised by God a son. This line would bear the
savior that would come and set us free from our sin. This Promise takes course of years. It starts
with Abraham and ends with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the savior and
the promise that God had told Abraham of.
Prophecies
1 “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” (ESV)
2 Cursed are you above all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly, and you will eat dust all the days of your life
In the beginning of the Old Testament, there was a flooding of the earth. The prophecy of
this flood was given to Noah. “So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for
the earth is filled with violence because of them. I am surely going to destroy both them and the
earth (Genesis 6:13).”3 After saying this Noah was instructed to build the Ark and to gather two
of each animal to live in the Ark. When Noah finished the Ark, God flooded the earth destroying
everything not in the Ark. After 150 days, they were able to exit the Ark. God had given Noah
and his family the duty to multiply. Although God eradicated all the Godless people, people
continued to turn away from God.
Moses was told by God to go free the Israelites from Egypt and take them to the promise
land. Moses goes to egypt
3 “So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the earth is filled with violence because of them.
I am surely going to destroy both them and the earth (Genesis 6:13).”
