The concept of global warming has been an ongoing debate throughout the twentieth
century. Scientists from all over the globe have brought forward data to further prove their
argument and to gain the attention from world leaders in order to stop the rise of climate change.
Physical Geography: A Landscape Appreciation states, “Over the last three decades, human-
produced changes to the greenhouse effect have been brought to the attention of the media and
the general public by the scientific community.” Although many fossil fuels supporting

individuals and money moguls argue against the existence of human caused global warming,
there is sufficient evidence supplied by the scientific community to confirm its very real and
intimidating existence. This essay will analyze the disadvantages and advantages of climate
change worldwide.
To begin, the topic of global warming or climate change entered the scene around thirty
years ago. Scientists brought forward data collected from, “surface weather stations, ships,
buoys, balloons, satellites, ice cores, and other palaeoclimatological sources indicate that the
climate of Earth is becoming warmer.”
