Nutrition Log Assignment
A nutrition log allows for a close analysis of dietary habits to assess for proper
nutritional intake. It can be easy to over or underestimate our nutritional habits when we are
not writing them down. I will be going over the data collected from Monday March 25th to
Wednesday March 27th.
The first day I consumed a one a day multi vitamin and ritz crackers for breakfast,
lunch was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, and for dinner I had garden vegetable salad
with sparkling water and garlic bread. This same day for a snack I had a girl scout cookie and
2 slices of cheese pizza. The table below depicts my totals and my daily goal I needed to
strive for according to My Fitness Pal.

According to the data collected I am meeting at or around the daily recommended
values. I would have to say my biggest cause for concern is the number of times I went over
my sodium goal. I need to work on eating less processed foods and not using seasoning
blends that have excess amounts of salts. I also want to start incorporating more vegan
options, healthy of course because I have seen some items packed full of sodium. The more I
analyze my dietary habits I know I can change my eating habits and make healthier choices.
