CASE STUDY NALYSIS OF ARIANCE WITH EPEATED EASURES: A V R M
TEMPLATE
I. Analysis of Variance with Repeated Measures
Research question: “is there a statistically significant difference in the core body
temperature at minutes: 0, 15, and 30 while exercising in a hot environment?”
Assumptions Testing
1. Data level of measurement- what is the level of measurement for the data used in this
case study?
The Core temp variable had a level of measurement of ratio.
2. Would the amount of skewness and kurtosis in these affect the analysis? How do you
know? Give numerical values to support your conclusion.
Core temp at minute 0 had no skewness or kurtosis with values of 0.993 and 0.879
respectively which are both between 1.96 and -1.96. Core temp at minute 15 had no
skewness or kurtosis with values of 0.087 and 0.525 respectively which are both between
1.96 and -1.96. Core temp at minute 30 had no skewness or kurtosis with values of 0.355
and 0.417 respectively which are both between 1.96 and -1.96.

3. Was the assumption of normality met and how do you know?
All variables met the assumption of normality with p values greater than 0.05.
Core temp at minute 0 – 0.115, Core temp at minute 15 – 0.960, Core temp at minute 30
– 0.926.
