INTRODUCTION
In the world today there is a war that exists that extends beyond the visibility of human
eyes every day. As Christians continue to carry out the will of God and glorify him, Satan
continually wages war, making every attempt possible to prevent any glory going to God. Jerry
Rankin breaks down the different tactics Satan uses on believers in an attempt to steal God’s
glory in his book Spiritual Warfare. He states with emphasis “Spiritual warfare is not so much
about demon possession, territorial spirits, or generational bondage as it is overcoming Satan’s
lies and deceit in our own life.” The following paper will summarize Jerry Rankin’s book

Spiritual Warfare while critiquing its positive and negative features in addition to how it can be
applicable in my daily life.
SUMMARY
God has created man with a specific will to be carried out. In carrying out that will and
living a Christ-like life God becomes glorified throughout one’s life. This type of living draws
the attention of Satan. However, his involvement is often overlooked by many. The reality of the
situation is that Satan is against anyone attempting to further the Kingdom of God and is the
mastermind behind stealing the peace that Christ provides. Through the tactics of lies and
