God’s Story Essay Evan 101-003
Creation:
After God had created all of human life and other beings on Earth He became the
ultimate ruler of all. God has created the whole universe giving Him the rightful rule over all of
us. God created everything in His image and made us perfect to Him. He viewed His own
creation as good. Jesus also helped create the world this is because Jesus has always been part of
the trinity.
Fall:
During the fall, mankind sinned against God, this in turn rejected God as ruler over us.
This made sin come upon mankind and made lawlessness. God made the law and designed
mankind to live in accordance with it. When sin came into mankind, this created lawlessness,
going against God. Sin is a result of rejecting God’s authority, rebelling God’s right to be God,
and separates us from God. The world is now broken due to the sin, all the pain, all the suffering,
and all the death is due to the sin created by man. Man is not overcome by sin, we are instead
born into sin, enslaved to it, and dead in sin.
Rescue:
God still loves us even though we sin, but God must still punish sin. God is both merciful
and just. God has always planned to send Jesus to save us, because we need someone to rescue
us from sin. Jesus’ death was planned for our sins before the beginning. Jesus was born of the
Virgin Mary and conceived by the Holy Spirit. When Jesus came here, He was fully God and full
man. Jesus is the mediator between God and man. Jesus lived a perfect life on Earth and then
became the perfect sacrifice. Since humans are sinners, we do not deserve eternal life, but since
Jesus was perfect, He died our sinner’s death and gave us His righteous life.
Restoration:
Jesus overcame sin and death when He died for us. Death could not hold Jesus because
he never sinned. Jesus redeemed all of us by erasing the sin, guilt, and shame. This gives us the
chance to get rid of the burden of guilt. After Jesus’ death, He sent the Holy Spirit to us so that it
could transform us into His image, it is the Helper, Comforter, and Guide. The Holy Spirit
enables us to live righteous lives. Jesus went to Heaven in order to defend our righteousness.
Jesus is preparing a place for us, and is coming back soon to receive believers and bring us to
Heaven.
