What is an American?
Rhetorical
questions are questions that do not expect an answer. A rhetorical question
is a question asked to make a point, rather than get an answer. If you have
ever been late, someone might say: 'What time do you call this?' This person
doesn't want an answer to thequestion.
Americans are thecitizens and nationals of the UnitedStates of America.
Although citizens and nationals make up many Americans, many dual
citizens, expatriates and permanent residents could also legally claim
American nationality. I believe that if you are born in the United States, then
YOU are an American. Also, Americans have each other’s backs and that
care for the United States unlike everyone else outside of the United States.

In which you discuss the function of parallel structure and rhetorical
questions inLetters. The proper use of parallel structureprovides clarity,
rhythm, and balance in the writings, be it a poem, essay, or story.
The rhetorical definition involves using this balance as a device to make speeches
and works of literature more impactful. You may recognize some of these common
sayings, all of which contain parallel structure: “What you see is what you get.”
“Easy come, easy go.” “Nothing ventured, nothing gained.” “If you can’t beat ‘em,
join ‘em.”
