Thesis Statement:
During this period, Phillis Wheatley was able to enlighten both slave owners and thos
who wished to abolish slavery alike, throughout her literature during the Revolutiona
Period. This, in turn, helped aid the anti-slavery movements by exemplifying African
American beliefs and abilities.
