The Environment Needs Saving, But Why?
When thinking about how the environment is in danger what comes to mind for most?
When looking into the major causes of harm to the environment it is no secret that humankind is
behind it. The main reason that this is important and why everyone should care is due to no
matter what your viewpoint is about how much people should get involved, the end goal is the
same everything want to survive and has that instinct of wanting to. The reason you can trace
back to humankind being part of the problem is mankind has caused poor air and water quality as
well as taking away from nature and instead of remaining a balance between humankind and
nature causing a severe decline in biodiversity. But the reason this is happening and what the
opposing side of this point of view would say is that humankind is just doing what is necessary
to survive. Which is the end goal for everything not just humanity is to survive. If what
humankind is doing does not allow for the environment to survive then how can humankind
survive.
Over the generation's humans have become more demanding and the environment cannot
keep up with the ever-growing demand is causing air quality to reduce. Which in return has
caused great harm to children. Which putting children in harm's way is something that everyone
can agree on is a not right and there is no excuse for it. Children do not have a strong enough
immune system to fight against the poor air quality that humankind has created over the years. A
great danger of pollution exposure in early life can is that it can undermine efforts to enhance
children's development though improved nutrition, early learning, and better health care
(Kassomenos, 2018). Another area where humankind has caused some negative impact is save
water quality due to the demand humans place on the environment that causes harmful chemicals

to enter the drinking water. One example of this would be a test conducted in the U.S. by
community water systems to find nitrate levels in the drinking water around the country. The
results were that the average of the nation was below 1mg/L for a majority. But there were some
areas that had 5 or more mg/L of nitrate levels ( Schaider, Swetschinski, Campbell, Rude, 2019).
Mankind must find better ways of sustaining what is needed for survival that do not cause harm
not only to the younger generation but also the environment we rely on for our own survival.
Humanity must come together to try to find ways of reducing the harmful effects brought on by
trying to ensure the survival of humankind to allow the environment to survive as well.
To go along with humanity causes harm to us but in doing so also harms the resources in
the environment that humanity and other animals need to survive. As a species that can do
something we need to do better at managing the resources we have and that are given to us by
nature. The reason we as humankind need to be the one to do so is that other living things do not
have the same abilities has humans do. One area that humanity needs to focus on is the forest
area that are still left Alternatively, recent evidence indicates biodiversity is best conserved by
minimizing human intrusion into intact and relatively unfragmented landscapes, which implies
concentrating the impacts of anthropogenic disturbance elsewhere (Betts, M. G., Wolf, C.,
Ripple, W. J., Phalan, B., Millers, K. A., Duarte, A., Butchart, S. H. M., & Levi, T. 2017) By
focusing on saving what is left of the forest would help the negative impact facing them and help
restore the biodiversity that we have lost over the years as humans become increasing in need of
more resources. Having humanity focus on trying to restore the biodiversity would help ensure
that everything be able to survive. Within the is world needs one another to survive so taking
care of nature would in return be taking care of humanity.

As humanity grows and evolves the more harm seems to come to the environment around
us. The more the population grows the more resources are needed to sustain life and survival
which does more harm to the environment and further reduces the biodiversity that is needed for
everything to survive. In today’s world there is a need to help restore what has over time being
destroyed by humanity constant evolutions that require more and more resources from nature.
The promotion of biodiversity in forest landscapes demands a cost-benefit analysis of
biodiversity-oriented management strategies, compatible with societal preferences for multiple
forest goods and services ( Augustynczik, Yousefpour, Hanewinkel ,2019) Without everyone
doing their part to help ensure the environment we have will end up running the resources and
the environment dry. Once this happens then everything will also start to dry out if it did not
already due to the loss of the environment. Everyone plays a role in this world that either
negatively affects or positively affects the environment we as humans need to live. No matter
what anyone does is always goes back to how does it affect the environment.
As a whole humanity must do better at reducing negative impact and effects on the
environment that everything in this world needs to survive. Doing a better job at using up natures
resources, reduce air and water pollution, and ensure that the younger generations does not feel
the effects of poor management of the environment While humankind continues to evolve the
poorer air and water quality becomes, the more our children suffer from it, and the more of
nature's resources are taken the quicker the world will die out. Ensure that everyone does their
part to stop the negative impact on the environment and start help restore the balance between
humanity and nature.
