Mistakes on the First Date
On a date, it is important to remember the advice that your elders give you and to be nice with
what you do. My dates have not gone well in the past, especially before my parents taught me the correct
etiquette of being a gentleman. I was, instead, an immature teen boy who took action first rather than
thinking with an open mind. I remember one of my dates ended awful because I did three small things
that caused a huge problem. The first and the worst, was that I did not open the door for her when she got
to my car. I did not pay for both our meals at the Olive Garden and asked if we both could split the check,
and finally I did not say goodnight to her and instead I dropped her off at the front of the house. I
definitely learned my lesson then and from then on I know what not to do on a date and make a horrible
impression.
