Primerica is a company that I currently work at now. I work as an information systems
analyst. I recently joined the organization and during my hiring process, my supervisor had a lot
of things to brag about when it came to the organization that I was now joining. He informed me
of a talent management program that was recently implemented a year before I joined the
organization. I was hired at the end of 2020 and I immediately starting using the benefits that is
meant to improve employee growth. The talent management focuses on career growth, training,
retention, and assigning employees with career coaches. This was done by using the programs
Lattice and Pluralsight. Lattice is the program that management the overall career development
of the employees. Pluralsight is a free training website where employees can learn new things
that pertain to the information technology field.
There were a few reasons behind why the organization started the program. One reason is
because they wanted to reduce the number of employees leaving the organization. Retention is
important because when employees leave, they tend to take a lot of information with them. Some
of this information comes from hands-on training. Another reason that they implemented the
program was due to employee feedback. At the end of the year, the company send out surveys to
employees in order to see where the company can improve. Employees wanted a program that
promoted career growth. So overall, the key benefits to the program is that it improved training,
increased retention, and encouraged career growth. The data provided to support these benefits
were the number of employees that were promoting in the company and the decrease in
personnel leaving. This program worked for my organization because I have seen it in action
myself. After seeing the improvement through different reports, I can concur that all
organizations should implement talent management programs in their organization.
