Abstract
I believe that a true educational leader is one who collaborates with and unites the talents of
teachers, students, parents, and community members. The goal of all educational leaders is to
improve the quality of education and the education system itself. In order for me to achieve this,
I must “practice what I preach.” I don’t want to just lead, I want to guide those who work with
me in order to create an educational environment that all stakeholders can be proud of and
benefit from. To do this, I must set a precedent that my entire school community follows,
including myself.

common core standards, and the rise of mental health problems, it is critical that as an
