Technology-based language learning and learning communities are known as online
learning. Online learning, sometimes referred to as e-learning or remote education, is the process
of facilitating teaching and learning outside of a traditional classroom setting by using digital
technology and the internet. Via a variety of online platforms, this method of instruction enables
students to access course materials, communicate with peers and teachers, and finish
coursework. Online education can take many different forms and employ a variety of techniques.
Educators' primary concern is to evaluate each piece of technology to determine how
best it can support the students in realizing their full potential. identify your students’ entry skills
and readiness levels. As soon as educators arrange for the proper integration of any technology
as an instructional tool, both modern and not so modern, teachers will make decisions for their
pupils and possibly others.
Technologies are only instruments that improve the effectiveness of the learning process.
Technological Skills include: Typing, Word Processing and Cyber Security. Some standards
educators can use to enforce these skills is by fostering a culture where students take ownership
of their learning goals and outcomes in both independent and group settings. Establish
professional development objectives to investigate and implement technologically enabled
instructional approaches, then evaluate their efficacy.
Principles of Online Learning
Three research-based principles of online learning, One is Active Learning. Any of a
wide range of teaching strategies that engage the learner in the instruction taking place, such as

working on problems in small groups, as opposed to passive methods such as seat work or
listening to a lecture. Another Research principle is Problem-Based Learning. Technique in
which questions are posed for students to solve. PBL's central idea is that students either create
issues to be studied or work along with the teacher to deduce problems (see Ronis 2008).
Individuals, small groups, and the entire class can all work together to solve problems. PBL
projects are the foundation of both the Intel and Westinghouse student honors programs. Learning

learning objectives, create plans that make use of technology to accomplish them, and consider
how to improve learning outcomes by reflecting on the learning process itself. students. ISTE.

Assessments and Measures
Group Projects and Team-based Activities: Assigning collaborative projects that
require students to work together virtually encourages peer interaction, discussion, and shared
learning experiences.Teachers that use a flipped classroom assign students to watch educational
videos or pre-recorded lectures before class. Students participating in active learning activities in
class, such as group discussions, problem-solving tasks, or practical projects that are connected
to the material did exceptionally well compared to students that were not practicing active
learning. Ebooks.cenreader.com. (n.d.).
"There is so much richness in this field that we can continually make improvements to
make it more effective and enjoyable for a long, long time." They hope their paper will move
educators to incorporate more active learning in their lessons and think about how they can
participate in research into it. (ScienceDaily. (2021b, September 30)”. According to Wiley

Online Instructional Strategy 1
Direct instruction- Teacher-initiated and directed whole class learning.
Direct Instruction proves beneficial for online learning by offering clarity and focus in a
self-paced environment. Through planned, teacher-led presentations, it guarantees that
students understand important concepts. These presentations are essential for preserving
consistency in the delivery of content across a range of student backgrounds and learning
preferences. This method works well because it helps students quickly understand the
material, and interactive features like debates and quizzes increase student involvement and
offer instant feedback.Teacher-initiated and directed whole class learning.
(Ebooks.cenreader.com. (2014.).
Furthermore, direct instruction promotes the development of skills like critical thinking
and problem-solving, which are essential for online self-directed learning. Teachers are able to
efficiently address learning gaps and provide appropriate support by regularly monitoring the
development of their students. Direct instruction works effectively in a variety of online
formats(Task Analysis Model), whether it is given immediately or asynchronously, and it
keeps the learning process coherent and rigorous. All things considered, it improves e-learning
by offering organization, interest, and practical direction for reaching learning
goals.(Ebooks.cenreader.com. (2014.).

-Review concepts every week and every month.
Online Instructional Strategy 2.
Lecturers who feel they practice active learning in the classroom tend to use the word
quite loosely. The following is exactly what instructors believe active learning to be:
• Collaborative learning is a method where students participate in problem-solving,
writing, reading, and discussions.
• Educators use a range of collaborative learning tactics to improve student learning and
teaching experiences, including discussion, problem-based learning, case-based learning, oral
presentations, formative quizzes, and demonstration. These include role-playing, fishbowl,
muddies-point, think-pair-share, and student presentations.(Instructional strategies for online
teaching2021)
Conclusion
In summary, online learning is a revolutionary approach to education that uses digital
technology to expand the bounds of traditional classroom instruction. It makes educational
resources easier to obtain, encourages interaction and cooperation between students and teachers,

and accommodates a range of learning preferences and styles. By including technology
competencies like word processing, typing, and cyber security into curricula, educators enable
their students to succeed in and navigate digital settings.
Research-based principles like active learning and problem-based learning underscore the
effectiveness of engaging students in meaningful, interactive learning experiences. These
methods encourage a deeper comprehension and retention of the course material in addition to
improving critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Evaluation strategies like group
projects and flipped classrooms, which promote active engagement and the application of
knowledge in the real world, further enhance learning.Ebooks.cenreader.com. (2014.).
In online learning, direct instruction shows to be a useful tactic since it offers
organization, precision, and targeted learning opportunities. Its versatility to synchronous and
asynchronous modes guarantees rigor and consistency, boosting students' academic growth and
promoting an environment of ongoing learning.Ebooks.cenreader.com. (2014.).
Teachers face a constant struggle as technology advances: they must constantly develop
and improve their methods of instruction to meet the changing requirements of students in digital
environments. “We strongly support using as many different instructional techniques or
methods as possible. Why? Because it helps you make decisions deliberately about the best
instructional practice for any given content or student need, it helps you involve students
actively, and it helps you choose the best level of instructional control for the situation at
hand” (see Cunningham et al. 2000; Wells 2001).Teachers may create inclusive, dynamic, and
engaging learning environments that equip students for success in the twenty-first century and

beyond by embracing excellent teaching practices and utilizing
