Part Two: Reflection
1. What did you like about locating technology resources?
I liked that every time I went to a different website it provided a variety of
resources. This could have been about the topic that I would be teaching or
something related to it or it would have an entirely different section with a lot of
resources. I think that it could help teachers in the long run with the amount of
information some of these websites have. It was also very easy to navigate through it
all.
2. If you had to complete this same activity again, what would you change?
If I had more time this week to do a couple resources at a time. When initially
looking at it, I felt very overwhelmed with the information. Some websites I would
try to get on, I would need an account so I would get stuck on the website trying to
not get an account. I do think I would have signed up for a few just to see what kind
of resources I’d be given.
3. What did you learn about yourself during this assignment?
The different age levels for science and what they would actually be learning in class.
I also did not realize how many different websites there were regarding all these
different topics. I enjoyed seeing all of the space related topics (my favorite topic)! I
definitely was intrigued to look more into those websites than the others I have
found.
4. When would you use this resource in your future classroom?
I think that it would depend on the age group that I would be teaching. For more
of the older grades, I would allow them to use the virtual fieldtrip-based resources
depending on what topic we are learning. For the younger kids, I would navigate it
on the TV for them to look at. I would also use some of it as homework form the
students to research on their own.

9 5. If you were the professor of this course, what changes would you make to
this assignment?
I would have provided the standards only because I feel that I might not have the
correct PDF for it. This is more of because I am from NY so I tend to look at those
standards for certain assignments. I would have also provided a little more in-depth
section of the “what makes it engaging. I felt that there were times that I wasn’t
sure how to explain the website but I felt that it was important to have. Other than
that, I had a great time exploring and seeing different fun and interactive science
websites!
