Recognize the barriers of discrimination that people face based on the color of their skin
Couldn’t play the music he wanted to play because of the color of his skin
We want to be treated equally

Don is gay and is “closeted”
He made assumptions about Don based on the color of his skin. He bought into stereotypes and
as a result he was discriminatory towards him.
Don struggles with his own personal identity because he doesn’t see himself as “black enough”
because he doesnt think he talks or eat the way other black people do. He does not feel accepted
by other black people and he doesn’t feel accepted by the world because he is also gay.
Although he is well off, he still suffers prejudice
