VIII. Biblical/ Character Education Principle
Romans 12:4 “For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not
have the same function.” Discuss how God created all of us but not in the same size, shape,
or color. But we are all still human and should be treated equally. Just like people, shapes
come in many different sizes and colors, but they are still shapes. Every shape is unique and
have different functions.

Students will be shown pictures of different shapes using the projector and will
be instructed on how to draw each individual shape on the whiteboard.
Next, students will be asked to identify various shapes from pictures.
Students will be given shape manipulatives to help students see the difference
among shapes.

XI.Diversity/Differentiation for Exceptionalities:
A.Learning Styles (modalities / multiple intelligences): Visual – use pictures of shapes
to teach about the different shapes. Auditory – create rap or song about shapes.
Kinesthetic – use shape manipulatives so they can touch and feel each shape.
B.Gifted: Students in this learning group will list different shapes for the class. They
will also draw pictures of selected shapes on the board for their classmates.
C.LEP: Write out each shape and assist the child in saying the given shape name.
Students in this learning group will make the shape with its proper name.
D.LD, ED, ADD: Students in this learning group will sit near the teacher, so they can
be observed. Extra time will be granted during assignments for this group of students.
E.Multicultural Connections: To teach students about different people in the people,
students will be shown shapes in different colors and size. Students will be taught that
even though the shapes may be different, they are still all shapes. Just like humans we
come in many different colors and sizes but they are still all humans.
