EDUC 303 Interview Discussion Replies #1
Hey,
I enjoyed your discussion post this week. It was informative and full of great ideas. For
example, your administration department desiring each teacher to call one parent weekly is
fantastic. Also, the Professional Learning Community (PLC) collaboration can only deliver
positive results. Furthermore, placing parents and fellow teachers as team members can give a
teacher options. When difficult times arise within the classroom, so many times, you can
remember something said or done by a colleague or parent that will ease a student's tension or
get their attention. Unfortunately, inappropriate teacher behavior unique to each teacher can
hinder smooth classroom interactions. These behaviors and quirks include repeating the question,
repeating all student responses, answering the question itself, disallowing long responses by
students, ignoring students who have responded previously, and always choosing the same
student participant (Orlich, et al, 2018). Lastly, your desire to want a classroom with a great
learning environment is the first step to the best educational experience any child can endure.
Psalms 37:4(ESV) says," delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your
heart."
