The teacher will assess the student's oral language proficiency in activities #4
and #6 and assign a score between 1 and 4. Students must abide by the
established guidelines for talks, which include maintaining eye contact,
speaking clearly, speaking at a reasonable volume, and using proper English
grammar and vocabulary. Also, each student will be required to evaluate their
speaking and listening skills using a self-assessment form.
Approximately 100 minutes will be spent on the entire literary emphasis unit.
The first exercise that helps students develop their background knowledge
will last 15 minutes.

their experiences of making pizzas and what they would like to put on their
pizzas.
2. After that, I'll go through key terms from the story.
3. I'll read aloud "The Little Red Hen Makes a Pizza," a story about a hen who
makes a pizza by herself without the assistance of her friends. She followed all
the necessary steps to make a pizza, including purchasing the ingredients,
creating the dough, and adding the toppings. However, at the end, the hen's
buddies step up and provide assistance in a delightful and unexpected way.
4. Predictions and choral reading will be incorporated together with the
reading because the story is a pattern story.
5. Students reflect on the story by making drawings and recording their
thoughts in reading logs. Also, they must point out the story's beginning,
middle, and end.
6. Depending on their reading levels, students will engage in a
grand discussion about either basic comprehension problems or critical
questions.
The vocabulary note for task #2 will be provided in advance to students who
are moving slower. Students will present their work from activity #4 to the
entire class in activity #6 during a grand discussion. The class will then be
split into two groups. For the most part, pupils will discuss basic
comprehension questions. For those who are progressing more quickly, more
difficult questions requiring critical thought will be provided. For instance,
what do you think about the story's characters? (The hem and the friends of
the hem). Why did hem's friend decide to assist the hem in the end of the
story? What would you do if your friends refused to lend a hand?
