Client Screen
The client data screen would allow users to enter and add information for new clients. I would
create a character limit of 40 for all fillable information boxes. There would be three drop-down options
for the “client type;” the options being: “End User,” “Value Added Reseller,” and “Partner.” Entry would

be required in all information boxes before the user could save the client in the system. There is a menu
across the upper left of the screen that allows the user to easily navigate throughout the system.
The system would also populate information for existing clients if the client name or legal name
of an existing client is entered into the system. Once the information for an existing client is populated,
the user could select the “Delete Client” button and the system would create a pop-up window
confirming or canceling the user’s request. The user could also select the “Edit Client” button, which
would allow the user to make changes to the information fields. Once the user is finished making
changes to the existing client they would click the “Save Changes” button and the system would have a
pop-up asking if the user wants to save or cancel the changes.
View Clients Screen
Selecting the “View Clients” button would take the user to another screen that would list all
existing clients in table format. No editing or deleting of information could be done from the view clients

screen, but the user could select the option of exporting the client data as a spreadsheet or printing a
client information report.
To return to the data entry screen the user could simply click “clients” in the menu bar and it
would direct them back to the “Client Data” screen.
Contract Screen
Users would add, edit, and delete contracts on the Contract Data screen. I would create a
character limit of 40 for all fillable information boxes. Entry would be required in all information boxes,

apart from the Contract Amount information box. The system would only require entry of a contract
amount if the contract type was set to “Fixed Price” or “License.” There are three information boxes that
have preset drop-down options. The options for Contract Type are “Time and Materials,” “Fixed Price,”
and “License.” For the Products Included information box the user would select one or more of the
following options: “Telecom BP,” “Telecom FM,” or “TeleSource.” The start and end date information
boxes would require the user to enter dates in the format of MM/DD/YYYY. The user would be able to
assign the contract to a client by finding that client in the drop-down options of existing clients.
The Contract Data screen uses the same functions as the Client Data Screen; if an existing
contract name was entered in, the system would bring up that contract information. The user could edit
or delete contracts the same way they edit and delete clients.

From the Project Data screen, the user would be able to add new projects, delete or edit
existing projects, and assign or unassign projects from existing contracts. The information for an existing
project would automatically populate when the user enters the name of an existing project into the
system. From there the user could choose to edit or delete the project. The character limit for all
information boxes would be set to 40, and numbers and a forward slash would be allowed in the start
and end date boxes. The system would require all information boxes to be appropriately filled before
allowing the user to save a new project or save any changes to an existing project.
There are three drop-down boxes, the first would allow the user to select the maintenance term
which has options for the user to choose between 1-12. The second drop-down box has options of “High
Priority (9-12 months),” “Medium Priority (3-8 months),” and “Low Priority (1-3 months).” The third
drop-down simply allows the user to assign the project to an existing contract. If the user wishes to
unassign the project from a contract, they would select the option of “none” in the drop-down list and
save their changes.
Editing and deleting projects would be accomplished the same way the user edit and deletes
clients and contracts. The controls are consistent throughout the system.
