1. Why is Cyber terrorism asymmetrical?
oCyber terrorism is asymmetrical due to the
fact that asymmetrical warfare is defined
as two opponents that are very different
from each other. In cyber terrorism, it is
usually a very small group of
hackers/crackers attacking and terrorizing
a large target. Because of this factor, the
attackers seem like a larger competitor
and a bigger threat.
2. What country is thought to have attacked
Estonia during the cyber war of 2007 and why
was the attack made?
oIn the cyber war of 2007, Russia attacked
Estonia, a Balkan Country part of the
Soviet Union. Because cyber-attacks are
extremely difficult to prove, no one can
prove who attacked Estonia.
3. What are Botnet attacks?
oBotnet attacks occur when someone
inserts software onto computers that
enables them to access your computer and
use your computer to attack other
computers without detection by the user.
This enables one hacker to utilize a large
collection of computers to attack another.
