I interview very close friends on mine on the subject of origins and they pretty
much indicated the same reasoning. One of the said, “that there he had strong faith in the
matter of creationism.” He also said “the overwhelming facts of creation.” I asked him to
state me some facts and he indicated the errors of evolutionary thinking. He brought up
the subject of the indicated accuracy of the dating of the early creatures and scientific
predictions. One based his beliefs on both. He said that it is a good blend of to have both
secular and creationistic views. The reason: he said that it illuminates some of the bias on
individual’s side. He said that one would have to discerned the difference what you
believe is right and wrong when it comes to science and some biblical teachings. The
frustrating part of this assignment was the fact that all of us had the same kind of belief.
So I took it upon my self to challenge some of the foundation to our arguments. We
talked about the evolutionary thinking and the arguments that they bring against
creationistic thinking, such as the seven days and the arguments for death after Adam and
Eve. At the end of the day these conversation brought me closer to Christ and opened my
eyes to the attaches that the enemy has using scientific falsehood. One of my friends
brought up a good point, he said that we as Christians should all need to understand our
faith not just in a Sunday morning kind of way but, really study it until we believe it
100%.
