What are the independent and dependent variables in this study?
In research projects, the independent variable refers to the stable variable that is not affected by
other variables. On the other hand, the dependent variable depends on and is affected by other
factors (MacKinnon, 2011). In this particular research project, the dependent variable is an
entrepreneurial activity. The study sought to examine what activities can most likely stimulate
entrepreneurial activity in a country. The independent variables in this study refer to the
government activities (policies and initiatives) that substantially influence the growth of
entrepreneurship in the country. As such, entrepreneurial activity is the dependent variable that is
affected by government policies and initiatives (independent variable).
Dependent Variable.
Dependent variables are a crucial component of research and scientific experimentation. They
are the variables that researchers measure or observe to determine the effects of independent
variables on a particular phenomenon. In other words, a dependent variable is a response that is
influenced by changes in an independent variable. Understanding dependent variables is essential
for researchers to develop accurate conclusions about their findings.
Dependent variables can be classified into several categories, including behavioral,
