When looking at the qualitative report the research question stated what are youth’s
motivations for using technology and how does it impact their daily functioning. I feel that this
type of study utilizes the consensual qualitative research method. In the study the ten participants
were interviewed whereas core ideas and beliefs were formed. Hill & Knox (2021) state that
“Consensual qualitative research (CQR) is a qualitative method that can be used to study inner
experience, attitudes and beliefs, all of which are not readily observable”. When looking at this
scenario, it is clearly looking to find out more in-depth information relating to the research
question. Also, because when looking at the scenario the sample size is small which is a key
feature in CQR’s. When adhering to this type of research, there aren’t many numbers, it is
