Summary
Dr. Ron Hawkins’s and Dr. Tim Clinton’s book, The new Christian counselor: A fresh
biblical and transformational approach, attempts to present a new approach for integrating
Christianity to the counseling setting. Throughout its twelve chapters, there multiple concepts
that are important for the Christian counselor; however, several caught my attention more than
others. Defining Christian counseling, Christian Counseling Models that are still used to this
day, Attachment Theory, Alignment, and Personal Cost.
