Life satisfaction is one of the major things that is a challenge in this age. Wong defines
satisfaction as “a state of mind,” (Wong et al., 2021, Pg. 317) when individuals get old, whether
they are healthy or not their moments and daily activities significantly decrease, “if they are
deprived of power by internal and external forces…may feel worthless and powerless and
consider aging as a significant obstacle in obtaining satisfaction from life,” (Wong et al., 2021,
Pg. 317). Vogelsang did research on explanations for self-rated health improvements among the
oldest-old. The results of this research was “explicitly reported health improvements were
associated with normalizing pre-existing conditions,”(Vogelsang, 2018) . While some new health
issues rise with age, it was important to see if individuals were understanding if that is normal
with age or not. In other research related to age and depression, it was found that “Depression
was viewed as a normal reaction to life stressors and aging. Consequently, older adults preferred
self-management strategies (e.g., socializing, prayer)” (Nair P;Bhanu C;Frost R;Buszewicz
