Abstract
Human growth and development is a highly controversial and ever-changing field of psychology.
As advances are made, researchers become more aware of how little we truly understand. The
best course of action to rectify academic information absence is to hit the ground running,
conduct more study, and seek to fill these gaps. Another understudied developmental component
relates to the spiritual development of humans. Spiritual development plays a vital role in human
development. Physically, those with higher states of human development demonstrate lower
levels of cardiac distress and are at a lower risk for experiencing adverse mental health
symptoms. For this writer to do her part in contributing to current knowledge bases, an analysis
of their growth and development is being offered through this work. Through this work,
significant correlations have been made relating to stages of development. In this work, this
writer looks into their personal development over a lifetime, key aspects of growth and
development, significant timeframes, and current lifestyle changes that need to be accomplished
to allow for optimal health while aging.
