Discuss how changes in police organization and deployment (community
policing), advancements in technology, and the need for professionalism
and accountability affect the police service.
Selected
Answer:
When it comes to advancements in technology, i believe that it
have changed the police organization significantly because it
helps them be able to better do their job. For examples, police
reports can be done electronically which helps when it comes to
dissiminating these reports. The need for professionalism and
accountability has effect the police organization in a big way as
well but i also believe it is positively because theprofessionalism
and accountability that a police officer has will help when it
comes to community policing especially in communities that are
not so trusting of law enforcement.
Through professionalism and accountability, i believe that the
community will be more inclined to interact with law
enforcement. Also, being that police officers have such a
important job, the upmost professionalism and accountability
should be expected of them anyways.

Distinguishleadershipqualitiesfromleadershipcompetenciesorskills.
Howcanethical
leadershipskillsbedeveloped?
Selected
Answer:
Leadership qualities are very important because they assist in
overcoming obstacles, taking risk and finding ways to thrivein
criminal justice organizations.when you have leadership
qualities they encompass characteristics such as duty, respect,
selfless service, honor , integrity and personal courage.
Leadership qualities can be learned if a personal is not already
equipped with them. Leaderhsip competencies however, is a set
of knowledge, skills, attitudes and abilities that enable a person
to effectively deal with moral challenges. It helps the leader be
able to make certain decisions that meet high ethical standards
and these skills can be developed through practice. I believethat
ethical leadership can be developed but i feel that it can
onlybedevelopedwhenyouhavemasteredleadership qualities,
competencies and skills. ethical leadership is very important
because it also, in my opinion sets the tone for the department
that you are over as well. I think training on ethics would start
any development of ethical skills but only those who have
mastered other areas of leadership can master ethical
leadership effectively.
