Abstract
Leadership is the very foundation of any organization. Without leadership, a company is like
sheep without a shepherd; lost and wandering. The type and style of leadership that is utilized in
an organization will most definitely define the organizational outcome. By examining the
different traits of leaders in general, as well as those of the servant leader, we are able to fully
understand what makes servant leadership so enticing. If a leader possesses narcissistic traits,
then most likely that organization will fail in the long run, most likely from collapsing upon
itself. However, with servant leadership, an organization is able to flourish and grow to its fullest
potential. That is what differentiates a company and takes it from good to great.
