Introduction
The Great Commission instructs Christians to make disciples of all nations by baptizing
and teaching them to obey everything Christ commanded. As a chaplain, adhering to this
directive and developing a ministry strategy based on the Great Commission is imperative. This
assignment will outline a comprehensive chaplain ministry plan for young adults, emphasizing
the group's characteristics, scriptural foundations, core ministry values, mission statement,
slogans, visuals, ministry plan, proposed team members/personnel, 12-month ministry calendar,
12-month budget, scope and sequence plan, communication tools and techniques, and success
indicators.
Characteristics of the Young Adults Group
Young adults between 18 and 30 are becoming adults and often face big life changes and
challenges. They are looking for who they are, their purpose, and where they want to go. They
may struggle with independence, career choice, relationships, and faith.5They may face a duet of
their faith. At this age, they start to be affected by the thoughts they find in college. They meet
different people with different worldviews. Some of them can become atheists if they get lost
and have a duet in their faith. And they stop going to church.5
Young adults know a lot about technology, are often glued to their phones, and like to do
interactive and interesting things. Also, this group is for Anyone who wants to learn more about
God, the Bible, and what it means to be a disciple of Christ is welcome to enroll in this class, not
just those who are brand new to the faith. Those who do not yet trust in Jesus Christ as their
personal Savior are welcome to attend this class out of curiosity or a desire to get to know God
better. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Scriptural Foundations
In Matthew 28:19–20, Christians are commanded to "Therefore go and make disciples of
all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and
teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to
the very end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20 NIV). This includes baptizing and teaching them to
obey Christ's commands. Paul tells Timothy to pass on what he has learned to trustworthy men
so that they, in turn, can teach others (2 Timothy 2:2). "And the things you have heard me say in
the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach
others." (2 Timothy 2:2 NIV).5Discipleship and the transmission of faith to the next generation
are emphasized throughout these scriptures.
Core Ministry Values
The ministry will be based on core values like love, discipleship, community, outreach,
and being real. All ministry work will be based on love, showing young adults how Christ loves
them and teaching them to love God and others. Discipleship will be a core value, aiming to turn
young adults into mature Christians ready to make more disciples. Community outreach will be
emphasized, allowing young adults to get to know each other and do good things for the
community. Authenticity will be a core value, creating a space where young adults can be open,
honest, and clear.
Comprehensive Mission Statement
Our goal as a ministry is to help young adults grow into fully devoted Christians who are
prepared to pass on their knowledge to the next generation. To this end, we will work to establish
a fellowship where young adults can deepen their relationships with God and one another while
expanding their capacity for service to the world.

This discipleship study provides a comprehensive curriculum for spiritual apprenticeship
in the Christian life with God. Our hope for this group is that God will produce true, faithful
disciples who comprehend God's word and the purpose of His will, are inflamed by the work of
the Holy Spirit, and are qualified to carry the Gospel message to the entire world.

Ministry Plan
The ministry goal is to train young adults to become fully devoted Christians, ready to go
out and become more believers. The following procedures will ensure this goal is met:
Step 1: Connect5
We must connect with one another and God by establishing a safe and accepting
environment that promotes meaningful relationships and accountability among young adults.
The ministry will introduce the initiative to local young adults, beginning with a launch event.
Attendees will get to know the ministry's leaders, mingle with other young people of faith and
learn more about upcoming events.
Step 2: Small Groups
After the big unveiling, the ministry will divide people into smaller groups based on
shared passions, backgrounds, or other characteristics. These smaller gatherings will give young
adults a better chance to get to know one another, deepen their faith, and build stronger
communities. The small groups will also engage in regular discipleship studies that center on the
truth of Scripture, spiritual development, and practical application. Young adults will gain a firm
grounding in their faith and the tools they need to put that faith into practice through these
studies.
Step 3: Grow
Young adults are given intentional discipleship opportunities to help them develop
spiritually, intellectually, and practically.
Step 4: Serve

Projects of Service: The ministry will coordinate service projects that give young adults a
chance to serve others and spread the gospel. Young adults can grow a love for helping others
and put their faith into action through these initiatives.
We must encourage young adults to serve their communities and spread the gospel through their
gifts and abilities.
Step 5: Mentorship
The final phase of the ministry strategy involves matching young adults with older role
models who will disciple and mentor them to the point where they are ready to go on and make
disciples themselves. These guides will be young adults who have gone through the steps of
discipleship and are now ready to pass on what they have learned to others. They will show us
how mature Christians should live.
Step 6: Multiply
To train young adults to go on and make more disciples through preaching, teaching, and
mentoring.
The primary goal of this plan for chaplain ministry with young adults is to cultivate
mature Christ-followers equipped to make disciples themselves. The ministry will implement a
strategic plan emphasizing intentional discipleship, community development, and service
opportunities to accomplish this goal. The steps below outline how the ministry will move from

This ministry strategy aims to produce disciples who, in turn, produce disciples. The
ministry will have a lasting impact on the community and the Kingdom of God if it invests in
young adults and gives them the tools they need to go out and make disciples themselves.
Proposed Team Members/Personnel
The ministry team will have a chaplain, volunteer leaders, and peer mentors.
Chaplain: The chaplain will lead the ministry and give spiritual support and guidance. Group
Leaders: Small groups and discipleship studies will be led by volunteer leaders who will hold
young adults accountable and guide them.
Mentors: Peer mentors will be young adults who have finished the process of being disciples and
are ready to help others. They will be good examples of mature Christians who follow Christ.

This curriculum is suitable to be presented in our churches as a curriculum for
apprenticeship groups or in-home meetings as a means of spiritual building, and our goal in
publishing it in this manner is to make it available for free and in all possible formats so we
ensured that it is available in written form, Audible and visual.5During the meetings, we will use
computers and projectors in teaching. The students can use their computers or iPads to take
notes. We also will use virtual apps like Zoom or Microsoft to meet on them in case we have any
issues making us cannot meet personally.5
The ministry will connect with young adults through social media platforms such as
Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter to share updates, promote upcoming events, and share news.
Additionally, a website will be developed to serve as a hub for information about the ministry
and for registering events and studies. Direct communication with young adults will take place
through text messages and emails, which will also serve as reminders for upcoming events and
academic pursuits.
Verifiers for Success
"By the time a young adult has been in this ministry area for three years…" the young
adults will report a deeper understanding and commitment to their faith. They will be equipped
to make disciples themselves and are actively involved in mentoring others. They will participate
in at least one service project and mission trip. They will lead the discipleship group to make
more disciples.5

Conclusion
This all-encompassing chaplain ministry plan for young adults aims to help them grow
into fully formed Christians prepared to go out and become more believers. In conclusion, this
strategy for chaplain ministry with young adults is geared toward fulfilling the Great
Commission by producing fully formed disciples capable of making new disciples. The plan is
based on three pillars: structured opportunities for personal growth and service to others. The
ministry's goal is to see young adults mature in their faith, form strong bonds with other
believers, and give back to the community by following this strategic plan.
This ministry strategy goal is to give young adults the tools they'll need to change the
world for the better in the years to come, not just in the here and now. Making disciples is
essential if the work of God's Kingdom is to continue long after we are gone. This ministry
strategy can potentially have a global impact because it emphasizes producing leaders who
produce leaders. Through a multifaceted program, this chaplain ministry’s goal is to foster
personal development and group cohesiveness in young adults. The ministry aims to produce
fully formed disciples capable of making more disciples. If the ministry follows this strategy, it
will make a permanent difference in the lives of young adults and God's kingdom.
