your future career goals and ministry calling.
I am fascinated by your participation in the Ph.D. in Apologetics and Theology as
well as your goal to become a Biblical educator at a higher learning institution.
Before I entered my current ministry and fell in love with the work, I wanted to
participate in the same degree program and I had the same goal to become a
biblical educator. I would love to hear your thoughts about that program and your
progress towards your career goals. Has the Ph.D. program changed, improved,
or reinforced your personal theological beliefs about God and Christ? Have you
gained practical and pragmatic knowledge that you can apply outside of the
classroom? Are you enjoying the program material?
Also I like your comment that, "it a is difficult to assess one’s calling and abilities. "
I made the same observation in my post. It requires a high level of spiritual and
self awareness to fully understand one's calling, abilities, and spiritual gifts, which
is not an easy process.
You mentioned that it may be difficult to find a job in the future due to, "the rise of
critical race theory, intersectionality, the LGBTQ+ movement, and gender
identity/fluidity movements, I can see difficulties finding a job in this context." I
must admit that I did not fully understand the correlation or why it will be difficult to
find future work? Are you saying that popularity in formal biblical education may
decrease in the future due to the aforementioned social programs?
