Abstract
The video where the husband comes in asking if the front desk lady can give his wife a message,
but the wife did not want the husband to know she goes to counseling poses much question on the
kind of professional issues that occurred. The front desk woman in the video confirmed to the
husband that his wife, was indeed in a counseling session and when the wife came out, she
expressed that he was not supposed to know because he will try to use it against her in court. This
could be an ethical or legal issue because it is so on the line of one or the other but seems as though
it might be more legal than ethical. Due to the fact that the woman told the man, yes, I will tell
your wife when she gets out, gave him the proof he needed that she is in therapy and will now use
that against her. The client could now use this against the counselor for sharing information she
did not want to be public for her husband to use in a legal setting that could cost her custody of
their children.
