Abstract
Women have played an important role in helping spread the gospel for many centuries. Even
though many women have been pushed to the side and told that their role is to be housewives, I
believe that God has no certain person that he requires to teach his word. In today’s society,
women are needed in the ministry because of a lack of men that refuses to be Godly men that can
be used in the church. God is not worried about whether you are male or female when it comes to
spreading the gospel, but he looks at the heart. Women have the same qualifications as a man
when speaking about God because they both have a heart and a ear to hear God speak to them. In
this paper, I will discuss several women in the Bible days that God used to spread the gospel,
discuss the different roles in the church that men and women can be called to do, and the reason
why women are needed in the church today.
