Introduction
Christians strive every day to follow God’s word and live a Christ like life that the God
we serve would approve of. The guide most Christians use to do that is the bible. The bible not
only teaches Christians how they could live but it also helps them to stay on the path to Christ.
The bible isn’t a how to book, but more of a Christian guide to be your best Christian self and
conduct a lifestyle that is pleasing to God. The Bible teaches and talks about certain aspects that
deal with our personal life when it comes to parenting and family. But it also touches on our
professional lifestyles as well like how to manage a company or how we should interact with
management or coworkers. Not a lot of people know this, but the bible can be used to help with
the improvement of a company and its finances. As Christians, there are always situations where
the biblical word can be integrated with the business world, and this is what has been done
throughout this entire module. The topics we have discussed that deal with the allocation of
resources can be reviewed or even improved by biblical verses. This includes topics such as the
balanced scorecard, the valuation of an organization and risk management. The verses used for
the paper will all come from the book of Proverbs
Valuation
To know whether a business will succeed or fail an organization must evaluate if they
have any worth and will bring in any profit. This is why a valuation of the business needs to be
done. This happens when a new business arises or would like to merge with a different business
or if a business was being sold for whatever reason. However, senior managers and company
owners should already have an idea about the value of the firm without having a reason
(Koseoglu & Almeany, 2020). In the bible the Proverbs says in 16:3 Commit your work to the
INTEGRATION 3
Lord and your plans will be established (King James Bible, 1769/2017). Is this going to work? Is
the initial question an organization should always first ask themselves. Is this going to bring in
the profit that we think it is going to bring in? Because if it’s not going to bring in profit then
there is no reason to do it. Speaking with the Lord and asking him to reveal things to you would
be helpful in this situation. Then asking him to give you the strength to commit to the mission
and values that have been put into place for this company. When you commit to the lord just as
he did when he died for our sins then your plans will come together and be established. We were
put on this earth to work just as the Lord did when he created this earth. He wants us to find our
purpose in work and be satisfied with that and that is what is being done when we commit to the
plans we created. On the business side after committing, then owners can gather data to show
investors how the company could blossom and bring more profit and get the business off the
ground. The valuation of a business is important when it comes to the success of an organization.
Risk Management
Enterprise risk management is a framework and process that organizations use to manage
the risks that could negatively or positively affect the company’s competitiveness and success
(Blocher et al., 2019). Risks can include the finances of a company and how the money can
fluctuate when it comes to outsourcing and working internationally with different individuals.
Interest rates can be changes as well as weather conditions can stop productions that may be
going on in that country. With any business there are risk, and it can be frightening because
nobody wants to lose or fail on something that they worked hard on. But when you step out on
faith you must take risks and be ready for anything that comes your way. In Proverbs 29:25 the
scripture says, The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe (King James

Bible, 1769/2017). As Christians we are taught to walk by our faith and not by our sight. We are
taught to put our trust in God and what we are seeking will eventually be revealed and given to
us. God is always by our side in any unsure situation so when we are taking these business risk,
we must keep that in mind. We must understand what we are asking for is already given and we
must trust that if we take the right steps, we will receive the reward. We do this in the business
practice by having strategic plans in place. Creating plans and alternatives is essential in any
business because nothing is going to go smooth when running an organization. They must be
ready for external factors such as the location of the business or surrounding competitors or
internal factors such a bad decision making or misusing resources. Regardless of what happens a
company must know how to pivot and that can be done with a department that’s strictly
dedicated to risk control and making sure the risks are calculated and make sense and are decided
by individuals that are skilled enough to do it.
Balanced Scorecard
The balanced scorecard is used to control and manage the health of a company. It tracks
the financial health of an organization as well as employee performance. The tool is basically
used to help the company continue to grow and achieve success efficiently. The balanced
scorecard assesses the qualities of a business and how those qualities may or may not help them
keep a competitive edge over the competition. Proverbs 15:22 says, without counsel plans fail,
but with many advisers, they succeed (King James Bible, 1769/2017). The balanced scorecard
has four different aspects that they look at when evaluating the health of a company. The aspects
are financial, customer, internal, learning and growth. So, the scorecard has an outlook on
everything. With out the balanced scorecard most companies don’t do well but with it, it can
INTEGRATION 5
reveal what aspects need to be improved and how the company can do better. The scripture talks
about how plans fail with no advisors and that can be related to businesses as well because
without the aspects of the balanced scorecard companies don’t succeed.
Integration
When it comes to the strategic allocation of resources it can be heavily integrated with
the biblical aspects of the bible. The three aspects explained of above are used throughout the
business world and can be improved while looking at them through a Christian viewpoint. Christ
has equipped us with the tools that we need to carry on the missions that we commit to. Just as
this module have given us the tools to manage a business and conduct it correctly so that we can
achieve success. When the two are combined a person can run a successful business and fulfill
God’s word at the same time. The bible is essential to Christians when addressing content in our
college courses. Because there is always a verse in the bible that can relate to the content we are
discussing. It is always important to approach situations with a god like view. For example, if
I’m facing risk in my brand-new business the fear of not taking that risk should be nonexistent
because I know the lord is on my side and I have the proper training to take risk successfully. We
reflect on our life and past situations that didn’t go in our favor and how we can do better. We
can do the same thing in the business world when making decisions.
Conclusion
When Christians use the Bible to guide them through life and help make decisions it
gives them a sense of comfort. Knowing that the lord is by our side helps us, it makes our walk-
through life a little easier. Valuation reveals to an organization how much they are worth and
whether they can manage the risks that will come their way while they are in the market. But as

the bible says that there is no reward without the risk. When using a balanced scorecard, it helps
business owners to identify the qualities that may be helping or hurting their business. The score
card keeps track of the health of the company to make sure that they remain successful. When we
put God at the center of all the things we do whether that be personal or professional it is
protected. It remains covered by the lord and as long as you are living in his light the things you
pray for will continue to proser.
